New regulations implemented by Spanish authorities could result in tourists arriving in Ibiza without documented accommodation facing fines of up to €10,000. Non-EU passport holders visiting Spain for tourism purposes must present either a confirmed rental booking or a carta de invitación from their host, a document processed by local police.In addition, the UK government recommends tourists to ensure they have a valid return or onward ticket and to verify the validity of their passports before travel.
